Sr. Industry Marketing Specialist (OGC)

Position Summary:

This position plays a pivotal role in driving Swagelok Korea’s growth within the Oil, Gas, and Chemical markets by developing industry specific, insight driven marketing strategies. This role emphasizes upstream marketing functions such as market research, segmentation, competitor analysis, and account strategy design that enable Sales and Product Management to execute effectively.

Unlike direct sales, this position focuses on market intelligence, opportunity mapping, and cross-functional enablement to secure Swagelok’s position in critical OGC applications. The role will act as a strategic partner to Sales, ensuring alignment with application-driven growth priorities, EPC project influence, and end user MRO opportunities.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Market Research & Strategy


  • - Conduct in-depth market research on OGC industry trends, customer pain points, applications, and competitor strategies.
  • - Identify market gaps, entry barriers, and opportunities to strengthen Swagelok’s competitive positioning.
  • - Segment the OGC market (EPC, end-user, OEM) and build roadmaps tailored to each segment.
  • - Develop market-specific value propositions using QCDS (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Service).
  • - Generate actionable strategies for sustainable growth in refining, petrochemical, and energy transition segments.
  •  

 

Marketing Execution & Enablement

  • -Execute targeted marketing campaigns in collaboration with Sales, customized to EPC bidding cycles, TA/MRO demands, and project lifecycles.
  • - Provide application-based marketing content (valve, regulator, hose, fitting solutions) for key OGC processes.
  • - Track and refine initiatives using KPIs such as market share growth, lead generation, and campaign ROI.
  • - Deliver industry training to Sales, focusing on terminology, applications (e.g., compressors, hydrogen, utilities), and selling points.

Key Account & Project Strategy

  • - Co-develop Key Account & Project Strategies with Sales.
  • - Map customer organizations and EPC decision-making structures.
  • - Identify application-driven opportunities (e.g., compressors, hydrogen fueling, refinery MRO).
  • - Provide market data and competitive benchmarks to support EPC project pursuits and long-term service opportunities.
  •  

 

Marketing Execution & Sales Enablement

  • - Execute targeted marketing campaigns tailored to the SEMI industry’s unique needs.
  • - Develop application-based messaging and technical materials to support Sales teams in high-stakes opportunities.
  • - Monitor marketing initiative outcomes using KPIs (e.g., lead conversion, market share, campaign ROI).
  • - Provide technical and industry-specific training to Sales and internal teams to strengthen market execution capability.

 

Business Development & Opportunity Identification

  • - Identify and evaluate new applications and emerging energy segments (e.g., hydrogen mobility, CCUS, LNG).
  • - Develop Go-to-Market playbooks for entry into sub-segments such as power gen, biopharma utilities, or hydrogen infrastructure.
  • - Collaborate with Product Management and Engineering Service to define product requirements and application-specific solutions.
  •  

 

Cross-Functional & External Collaboration

  • - Partner with Product Management, Engineering Service, and MarCom for cohesive strategy execution.
  • - Represent Swagelok at OGC-specific conferences, trade shows, and industry associations.
  • - Build relationships with EPCs, end-users, and integrators; gather VOC to feed into product/service development.

Performance Monitoring & Budgeting

  • - Measure marketing effectiveness with defined KPIs (lead-to-order conversion, market share, customer adoption).
  • - Manage budgets for OGC-focused campaigns, EPC events, and customer engagement activities.
  •  

 

Professional Experience:
  • - 10+ years of experience in OGC or related industries preferred.
  • - Knowledge of fluid systems, EPC project lifecycles, and end-user MRO business.
  • - Experience in multinational business environments across marketing, sales, or business development.
  • - Demonstrated success in business development within OGC or energy-related industries.
