Position Summary:
The Semi Industry Marketing Lead plays a pivotal role in enabling Swagelok Korea’s growth within the semiconductor market by developing insights - driven marketing strategies and driving market-based decision making. This role focuses on upstream marketing functions such as market analysis, segmentation, positioning, and account strategy development which guide Sales and Product Management toward customer aligned execution.
Rather than executing direct sales, this position emphasizes on market intelligence, designing key account strategies, and cross-functional enablement to ensure scalable and sustainable business development. The position is looking for a person who will act as a strategic partner to Sales with facilitating targeted growth in priority applications and accounts through structured marketing planning.
Key Responsibilities:
Market Research & Strategy
- - Conduct in-depth market research on SEMI industry trends, key applications, competitor strategies, and customer needs.
- - Analyze industry dynamics to identify market gaps, entry barriers, and areas for differentiated positioning.
- - Segment the market, define target verticals, and develop data-driven marketing roadmaps for each segment.
- - Develop market specific value propositions based on QCDS (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Service) and customer expectations.
- - Build actionable marketing strategies that support growth in high-potential markets and applications.
Marketing Execution & Enablement
- - Execute marketing campaigns and initiatives specific to the semiconductor industry in collaboration with sales.
- - Drive application-specific strategies that showcase Swagelok’s strengths in key semiconductor processes.
- - Measure campaign performance using KPIs, and refine strategies based on insights and feedback.
- - Provide industry-specific training and tools to empower the sales team with technical and commercial acumen.
Key Account Strategy (Marketing-Led)
- - Help the development of Key Account Plans, in collaboration with Sales:
- - Identify strategic accounts with high growth potential from a market lens.
- - Map customer organizations, decision-making chains, and application specific needs.
- - Define differentiated value propositions by account based on QCDS & VOC.
- - Provide strategic marketing inputs (market size, competitor benchmarks, white space analysis) to guide account level initiatives.
- - Drive alignment workshops with Sales to ensure consistent customer-facing messaging and campaign targeting.
Marketing Execution & Sales Enablement
- - Execute targeted marketing campaigns tailored to the SEMI industry’s unique needs.
- - Develop application-based messaging and technical materials to support Sales teams in high-stakes opportunities.
- - Monitor marketing initiative outcomes using KPIs (e.g., lead conversion, market share, campaign ROI).
- - Provide technical and industry-specific training to Sales and internal teams to strengthen market execution capability.
Business Opportunity Identification (Marketing Role)
- - Detect emerging application or segment-level opportunities based on macro/micro trend analysis.
- - Build Go-to-Market blueprints to support new solution launches or market entry into sub-segments.
- - Collaborate with Product Management to define market-driven product requirements and positioning strategies.
Cross-Functional & External Collaboration
- - Interface with Product Management, Engineering Services, and MarCom teams to align product strategy and messaging.
- - Represent Swagelok at SEMI-specific industry forums, exhibitions, and conferences to expand industry visibility.
- - Build industry relationships and gather real-time voice-of-customer input to feed into product/service development.
Performance Monitoring & Budgeting
- - Measure performance of SEMI-focused marketing and Key Account Plans using defined metrics.
- - Track market share, lead generation, and commercial impact of campaigns and initiatives.
- - Plan and manage budgets for marketing campaigns, events, and account-specific initiatives.
Professional Experience:
- - 10+ years in the SEMI industry; experiences in FAB or Tool OEM preferred.
- - Background in fluid systems solutions for semiconductor manufacturing is highly valued.
- - Experiences in multinational business environments across marketing, sales, or business development functions.
- - Demonstrated success in strategic account management and market development.
